Registration and Check-In

When you arrive at Harrah’s Cherokee Center, come see us at registration. American Homebrewers Association staff will be there to get you checked in, answer questions, and help you get to your first event of the day.

Registration Hours

  • Thursday, June 18: 3:00 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Friday, June 19: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 20: 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

At registration, you’ll receive your commemorative HBC26 glass, entry wristband, T-shirt ticket if pre-purchased, and a customizable name tag. T-shirts will be available for purchase at registration, too.

Please have your valid government-issued photo ID ready when you check in, and keep it with you during Homebrew Con.

Your Wristband and Daily Name Tag

New this year: Instead of printed badges, each attendee will receive a branded wristband, which serves as your conference access pass. Wear your wristband at all times during Homebrew Con.

You’ll also get to customize your own name tag each day. Think of it as a tiny billboard for your personality. Add your club name, favorite style, what brought you to Homebrew Con, or anything that helps another brewer say, “Let’s talk.”

Club Night ticket holders will receive access to Club Night only. Their wristband will be different from full conference access wristbands.

Bring Your ID

All attendees must bring a valid government-issued photo ID to registration and keep it with them at all times during Homebrew Con.

Per North Carolina law, valid ID is required on your person to consume alcohol at Homebrew Con events.

Bringing Your Own Homebrew

Yes, personal homebrew is allowed inside Harrah’s Cherokee Center, the primary venue for Homebrew Con activities. Can you say “best conversation starter ever”? Because we just did.

You may carry homebrew inside your backpack or small bag and share it organically with fellow attendees. Please limit what you bring to four bottles or cans at a time per registered attendee.

No commercial beer may be brought into Harrah’s Cherokee Center.

Dress Code

Homebrew Con is casual, so dress comfortably. Jeans, T-shirts, and sneakers are all fair game.

For Club Night, costumes, themed outfits, and general goofiness are welcome, even if you are not attending with a club. You will fit right in. Club Night-worthy is very much the uniform of the weekend.

Food and Dining Options

Homebrew Con is full of good homebrew, fun people, and a jam-packed schedule. Plan ahead so you know where to grab a snack, find a meal, fill your water bottle, or fuel up before Club Night.

For local restaurant recommendations, check out Explore Asheville. Food and dining details for Homebrew Con, including Harrah’s concession options, Club Night food, and the NHC Awards and Knock-Out Party, will be shared through official Homebrew Con updates.

Get Ready for Club Night

The legendary Club Night is back, and it’s exactly the kind of joy that makes this hobby amazing.

This year, 35 homebrew clubs will be going all out: dressing up, decorating, and sharing samples of their best, weirdest, proudest, “you have to try this” brews. Expect themed booths, costumes, props, club pride, creative pours, snacks, and the kind of zany energy that makes Club Night legendary.

First time coming? Expect clubs to bring their personalities, their homebrew, and sometimes a full-blown booth theme. Costumes are encouraged, new friends are practically guaranteed, and you will probably discover something you want to brew immediately.

Rate Club Night Brews

New this year: AHA members can share feedback on all the homebrew served at Club Night.

Use the HBC Brew List to leave kind, constructive notes for the brewers. Keep it useful, encouraging, and thoughtful. Basically, be the tasting note you want to see in the world.
