Speaker Policy

These guidelines apply to anyone presenting as part of an AHA program, including Zymurgy Live, AHA Happy Hours, Homebrew Con sessions, webinars, demos, and other member-facing programs.

All presenters must:

  • Be active AHA members at the time of their presentation. Join or renew here.
  • Agree to meet all speaker deadlines and deliverables. Failure to do so may result in removal from the speaking engagement.
  • Represent and warrant that all materials and content presented do not infringe on or violate any copyright, trademark, patent, or intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
  • Grant the AHA permission to audio and/or video record the presentation and to reproduce and distribute the presentation and related materials in any form.
  • Authorize the AHA to use their name, likeness, photograph, and biographical information in connection with the promotion of the presentation and related materials.

Additionally:

  • All presentations must be noncommercial. This means the information provided can be used by attendees without the purchase of any materials or products. Although it is acceptable to note the source of supporting materials, the presentation cannot be a sales pitch or product showcase.*
  • Contribute to pre-event marketing (i.e., social media posts, videos, and other promotional items).

*As a national 501(c) association, the AHA and content shared through our platforms must remain neutral. The AHA is held to anti-trust standards and cannot feature or endorse, by association, one supplier over another unless it is under strict conditions related to sponsorship.
