#NotMe Anonymous Reporting Tool

Homebrew Con is built on community, creativity, and the shared joy of homebrewing. That only works when everyone feels welcome, respected, and safe.

To help support that environment, the American Homebrewers Association has partnered with #NotMe, an anonymous reporting tool that allows attendees to report misconduct, harassment, discrimination, bullying, health and safety concerns, or other issues related to Homebrew Con. Reports can be submitted through the #NotMe app or web app, and you may choose to report anonymously.

What Is #NotMe?

#NotMe is a secure app and web-based reporting tool that makes it easier to speak up if something happens to you or if you witness an incident.

You can use #NotMe to report Homebrew Con-related issues such as:

  • Harassment
  • Discrimination
  • Bullying
  • Health and safety concerns
  • Other misconduct-related issues

How to Download and Set Up #NotMe

Setting up your #NotMe account takes just a few minutes:

  1. Download the free #NotMe app from the App Store or Google Play, or visit the WebApp on any browser.
  2. Create your account and log in. Use your personal email address when setting up your account so you can receive notifications and updates about any report you submit.
  3. Link to Homebrew Con. When prompted to “link your organization,” enter the PIN: HBC.
  4. Use the Homebrew Con questionnaire to submit a report if you experience or witness an issue.

Can I Report Anonymously?

Yes. You can choose to submit a report anonymously.

#NotMe also allows you to continue the conversation through a two-way chat in the app or web app, even if you report anonymously. This allows follow-up communication while still protecting your identity.

Who Receives the Report?

#NotMe provides the technology for collecting reports and managing cases. Reports are submitted directly to the American Homebrewers Association for review and follow-up.

Reports are not handled by #NotMe or an outside party.

What Personal Information Does #NotMe Collect?

When you create an account, #NotMe asks for a few pieces of personal information, including your personal email address and phone number. This information is used to authenticate your account and help ensure there is only one account per person.

This information is stored by #NotMe and is not shared with the American Homebrewers Association to protect your anonymity. It is also not sold to third parties. If you choose to submit a report non-anonymously, you will be asked to enter your first and last name.

Speak Up. Help Keep Homebrew Con Safe.

Homebrew Con is about connection, creativity, and community. If something does not feel right, please report it. Speaking up helps protect the people who make this hobby what it is: generous, curious, slightly fermentation-obsessed, and very worth showing up for.
