Bio
Stephanie Butler grew up on a farm in South Dakota, where family and community shaped who she is. She married her high school sweetheart, and after college they moved to Kansas City. Together, they raised three children and now enjoy two grandsons—so far.
She loves creating and collaborating on new ideas, whether in the brewhouse, the kitchen, or the yard. Brewing is one of her favorite outlets, and she and her husband fire up their Blichmann BrewEasy about 30 times a year, usually chasing new twists on IPAs or perfecting styles for competition.
Stephanie’s husband has a theory that everyone needs five hobbies before retirement, so she’s happily working on hers and enjoying every minute of it.
Stephanie is the president of the Kansas City Bier Meisters, a BJCP National Judge, and treasurer for the Master Homebrewer Program.
