Mark Tanner of Oak Harbor, WA, member of the Whidbey Island Zymurgy Association (WIZA), won a gold medal in Category #26: Other Mead during the 2013 National Homebrew Competition Final Round in Philadelphia, PA. Tanner’s Other Mead was chosen as the best among 93 final round entries in the category and helped earn the 2013 NHC Meadmaker Of The Year title.
