Homebrewers know the truth: a great homebrew shop is more than a place to buy ingredients. It’s a clubhouse, a classroom, a troubleshooting hotline, and sometimes even a therapy session.
The American Homebrewers Association (AHA) is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Homebrew Shop of the Year Award, the most prestigious recognition a supply shop can earn in homebrewing. If your local shop keeps the hobby thriving—helping brewers learn, experiment, and connect—now’s the time to show them some love!
Submit your nomination by May 1 at 11:59 p.m. MT.
Award recipients will be recognized by the AHA community later this year.

What Makes a Homebrew Shop Award-Worthy?
AHA members are invited to nominate shops that go above and beyond in supporting the homebrewing community. Winning shops typically shine in areas such as:
- Supporting and building the local homebrew community
- Providing education and guidance for brewers of all levels
- Delivering excellent customer service and engagement
- Promoting homebrewing to the public
- Practicing responsible and community-minded business operations
One important note: a shop cannot win the award more than once within a five-year period.
