Patrick Leon of San Diego, CA, member of the QUAFF (Quality Ale and Fermentation Fraternity), won a gold medal in Category #8: Pale British Ale with an Ordinary Bitter during the 2019 National Homebrew Competition Final Round in Providence, RI, with the help of Nick Corona. Leon and Corona's Pale British Ale was chosen as the best among 243 entries in the category.
