Arizona Cardinals left tackle, Jared Veldheer, showed off his homebrew setup while previewing the St. Louis Rams game earlier in October. When asked about how he got involved with homebrewing, Veldheer indicated wanting to pick up a hobby other than working out.
Recently, Veldheer teamed up with Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co., Gilbert, Ariz., to create a beer and enter it in the 2015 Great American Beer Festival Pro-Am competition. Although he couldn’t submit his beer in time for the festival, the brewery and he settled on a recipe and have brewed 60 barrels of it so far.
Although it’s no Lombardi trophy, he fully intends on submitting a beer recipe next year with the hopes and dreams of taking home gold.
