Old Standby Brewing is a collaborative effort by which one homebrewer teams up with breweries to create beers that benefit charity.

Alex Rezmerski of Louisville, KY, a member of the Louisville Grain and Extract Research Society (LAGERS) homebrew club, won a gold medal in Category 4: Pale Malty European Beer in the 2023 National Homebrew Competition Final Round in San Diego. Rezmerski’s Festbier earned gold out of 131 entries.
Bryce Hunter of Grand Rapids, MI, a member of the QUAFF homebrew club, won a gold medal in Category 7: American Wheat & Blonde in the 2023 National Homebrew Competition Final Round in San Diego. Hunter's Blonde Ale earned gold out of 71 entries.
Richard F Shoff Jr. of Baldwinsville, NY, won a gold medal in Category 10: Scottish & Irish Ale in the 2023 National Homebrew Competition Final Round in San Diego. Shoff's Irish Red Ale earned gold out of 106 entries.
Larry & Donna Reuter of Akron, OH, a member of the Society of Akron Area Zymurgists (SAAZ) homebrew club, won a gold medal in Category 19: Strong American Ale in the 2023 National Homebrew Competition Final Round in San Diego. The Reuter's American Barleywine earned gold out of 107 entries.
