Thanks to all of the contacts with Wisconsin state Senators from supporters like you, Senate Bill 395, which would lift current restrictions that prohibit homebrew from being transported outside of the home where it was made, passed the Senate by a vote of 32-1 on February 14. An attempt to greatly water down the bill with an amendment was defeated. SB 395 will be going to a vote before the full Assembly in the near future.
How Can You Help?
Please contact your district’s Assembly Representative and politely urge him/her to vote yes on SB 395/AB 521 (AB 521 is identical to SB 395 and either version could be voted on) and to oppose any amendments to the bill. In addition, please contact the Speaker of the Assembly and the Assembly Majority Leader and ask them to schedule a vote of SB 395/AB 521 as soon as possible.
