Last year, the Wisconsin Department of Revenue determined that under existing Wisconsin law, homebrew cannot be consumed outside the home where it was produced.
The American Homebrewers Association is supporting an effort by the Wisconsin Homebrewers Alliance to resolve this issue. Thanks to the efforts of the Wisconsin Homebrewers Alliance, State Senator Michael Ellis and Representative Dean Kaufert have agreed to sponsor LRB 3101, which if passed would lift current restrictions that prohibit homebrew from being transported outside of the home where it was made.
How Can You Help?
We need additional co-sponsors for LRB 3101 to make sure the bill gets heard and is passed through the Wisconsin legislature. We ask you to take a few minutes to call or email the state senator and representative for your district and politely urge them to consider joining as a co-sponsor of LRB 3101 and supporting its passage through the Senate and Assembly. Contacting legislators is quick and easy, and every contact they get from homebrewers will help ensure our success.

Your action is needed now! There is a very limited window of opportunity to get this bill heard before the legislature shuts down due to recalls.
Thank you for your support of homebrewers, your action could make the difference in whether or not this legislation becomes law. Please forward this message on to any other Wisconsin residents/businesses that you feel would be interested in supporting this bill.
