Denver, Colo. • Oct. 10, 2024 – The winners of the 2024 Great American Beer Festival® (GABF®) Pro-Am competition were announced at the GABF awards ceremony on Oct. 10 in Denver, Colo.
Presented by the Brewers Association (BA), GABF is the nation’s largest professional beer competition and the premier symbol of brewing excellence. The Pro-Am competition is an opportunity for commercial breweries to partner with homebrewers to brew a special beer and vie for top honors.
Pro-Am beers are based on a homebrew recipe from American Homebrewers Association (AHA) members who have won an award in an AHA/BJCP sanctioned competition. Entries are judged by the same panel of world-class judges that evaluate all beers in the GABF competition. Pro-Am beers are served in the Pro-Am taproom at GABF.
Three winning beers were honored out of 52 Pro-Am entries:
- GOLD: Piwo Grodziskie | Kansas City Bier Co. | Mike & Stephanie Butler | Kansas City, MO
- SILVER: Rising Sun | Crooked Lane Brewing Co. | Matt Hall | Auburn, CA
- BRONZE: South of Helles | Starr Hill Beer Hall & Rooftop – Richmond | Joel Miller | Richmond, VA
