Kyle Ducharme or Saint Albans, VT, a member of the Green Mountain Mashers, won a gold medal in Category 39: Melomel in the 2024 National Homebrew Competition Final Round. Ducharme’s melomel (fruit mead) earned gold out of 15 entries.

Ducharme shared the following about VT HoD melomel: “Big and bold melomel attempt at replicating the best mead out there with ingredients grown in Vermont.”
