Christopher Owen of Louisville, KY, a member of the Lousiville Area Grain and Extract Research Society (LAGERS), won a gold medal in Category 30: Smoke-Flavored Beer in the 2024 National Homebrew Competition Final Round. Owen’s classic-style smoked ale earned a gold out of 76 entries.
