Scot Schaar of Davenport, IA, member of the Saint Paul Homebrewers Club, won a gold medal in Category #30: Fruit Mead during the 2017 National Homebrew Competition Final Round in Minneapolis, MN. Schaar’s Fruit Mead was chosen as the best among 154 entries in the category and helped earn the Meadmaker of the Year title.
