About the Speaker
José Pizarro has an agricultural engineering degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (oenology major) and also a master of science in agriculture, food technology, and environmental sciences from L’École d’Ingénieurs de Purpan in Toulouse, France. His beer education comes from the Siebel Institute. He has close to ten years’ international experience in the fermented beverage industry, working in production as well as for ingredient suppliers in Europe, South America, and, since 2019, as Technical Regional Sales Manager for Fermentis by Lesaffre for East North America and the Gulf of Mexico. When he is not travelling, he likes to hike, mountain bike, and spend time with his wife and son in Asheville, North Carolina.
