Robert Hilferding of Zephyrhills, FL, member of the Special Hoperations, won a gold medal in Category #9: Scottish and Irish Ale during the 2014 National Homebrew Competition Final Round in Grand Rapids, MI. Hilferding’s Scottish and Irish Ale was chosen as the best among 310 final round entries in the category and helped earn the 2014 NHC Homebrewer of the Year title.
