5.5 gallons in the winter on a Robobrew. 12 gallons in the summer out in the garage on my 3 vessel electric system.

About 3 gallons brewed, 2.5 into the fermenter.

I'm the only one who ever drinks my beer, and a big part of this batch size - which I adopted not long after I started brewing in 2009 - is making it eas(ier) to move the beer through its brewing stages. I just retired last week, and one of my long-deferred projects is to upgrade my homebrewing process: even less lifting, more pumping, upgrading from ice baths to a recirculating chiller setup (a work friend gifted me a hand-me-down immersion chiller, and I already have a March pump I bought over a decade ago and used only a couple of times), etc. I already have a pulley to lift the mash pipe out of my all-in-one, which helps a lot, but I'm wondering if I can motorize this setup. I ferment in food-safe five-gallon buckets which fit perfectly in an all-fridge/no-freezer dorm fridge, which also means I am sliding the fermenter in and out, not lifting it.

Started brewing 5 gallon batches. Move to 11+ gross, 10 net for a long time. Now I do 10 gallons net for ones I know we will drink up, German Pils for example. Other batches are 5 gallons for variety, or for aging like a Thomas Hardy Ale homage.

As I age lifting isn't fun anymore. Sometimes I'm worn out after a long 10+ gallon brew day.
