I wonder if it was the same green beer I heard about at the Olde Hickory/Howard Pro-Am on 3/19. A couple of friends were judging it and if I recall correctly it was a Stout. It spewed all over the hand of the judge upon opening and was tough to scrub it off. They thought someone added green dye to make a "St Pat's Day Stout". They did not describe the character just the appearance of the gusher.

If it started to turn purple after it sat for a bit, it's probably the same one.

78 Specialty in Denver last night. Minibos was quite a lot of work by itself; so much variety and Specialty info it becomes like a BOS

Also, Denver is now completely done. Good luck to those who advanced.

Hi Everyone,

Just FYI, Nashville is much closer to being done, but they still have some judging to do.  Thanks for your patience!

Cheers,
Janis

Dang, 78?!?!  There are entire comps that barely have that many entries.  Something has got to be done to break up the "Specialty" category more (like maybe actually use the 2015 guidelines???).  Of the posted results so far, the next closest category by average is IPAs at 35-ish.  Most are about a third of the number of entries in Specialty.

Thank Janis.

I'm waiting for them too. Logged into the competition site today and saw they added judging days for this week. Currently, the last one listed is tonight.

Then clearly you need to go on the Soper Tour if you're going to NHC.

I'll be at NHC, but not sure about the Soper Tour yet. Depends on how a few things fall in my schedule. So much to cram into a few days!
