Well I figure i should make an introductory post since I plan on spending more time around here. So I am Ian or Petey as i have been called for a few years now.  I have been brewing for about 7 years now half extract the other all-grain.  I get quite a bit of brewing in since i have quite a few friends that like the beers I make (beers of  the British Isles) and will buy everything for me to make them (usually).  Just starting to brew larger batches now and intend to start sending beers into competitions to get some feedback (other than that's good lets have it again) and start on my indoor electric brewery build after i move back to coastal NC in the spring.

Welcome Petey, enjoy your stay. Also welcome back to Gawd's country in the Cakalakeys.

I figure you have been lurking so you know what a great bunch of guys and gals hang out here.

Make any comment or ask any question you like. Someone, except me, will have the answer. ;D

Actually I'll have an answer but the next post will be someone correcting what I just said :'(

It isn't entirely by choice to move, but after that summer i am definitely not complaining.

Petey, welcome to the premier homebrew board on the web! Love the avatar. I have recently come down with incurable BRD...   ;D

Guess I'll say howdy here too.

Been homebrewing for about 10 yrs since my sister in law gave me a Mr. Beer kit for Christmas in 2002.
My wife is still pissed at her for creating a monster.
I'm in three of the clubs that Tom Schmidlin (A-Z counts, too, Tom) and got into the BJCP too.
I usually hang out on the BN Forum where I'm a post whore there along with Bugeater and theDarkSide.  I also have a few too many bazillion posts over on the Realbeer forum.

Looking forward to hanging here with you guys too.

I told you Steve, you can't join the A-Z club until you can say the entire name without looking. ;)

I love that this threat is titled "Howdy everybody!".

First, I am a proud Texas A&M Aggie. On campus at A&M we said howdy. I say howdy a lot in my professional life and I always wonder if people think I am crazy.

Second, I am not so good with commas either.  (The thread title is missing a comma.)

Well, Tom (above), is running a brewery now.  It's not atypical to see people come and go from a forum over the years.
