Unless you are living In the higher elevations of VT, you should be ok. When I lived in Brandon , it wasn't so bad. When I lived near sugar bush....well whole different story when it came to snow and need for chains!

yeah, final destination is half way up mansfield. But I will be dropping the camper off before I do that particular climb.
The roads are cleared...for now that is. We are expecting a blizzard Saturday with another foot of snow. If you get stuck in SE Mass., stop in for a snifter of my imperial red IPA.
I'll keep that in mind. might be just the thing.
Mort, keep us posted on the trip progress. Have you had some La Cumbre?
I didn't get to La Cumbre after all. it was tough call but after 8 hours in the truck with a 4 year old that didn't want to be there I was spent. finally had a decent local beer last night though, Rahr and sons ugly pug. not a bad black lager at all. I also got to have a bells christmas ale at the grand canyon apparently because Larry Bell has property in arizona and likes his own beer better than anything else he can get there. My win I guess. The Grand Canyon village market plaza has a fantastic beer selection by the way.
All was going fairly well if a bit "are we there yet" filled until today when the truck wouldn't start up again after refueling at the Grand Casino travel center in Shawnee OK. Two dead batteries and a dead alternator. Got a jump from AAA and lucked into a heck of a good diesel mechanic who swapped out the batteries and alternator in about 2.5 hours on no notice on a Friday afternoon. If you find yourself in central Oklahoma in need of a good diesel mechanic search out Day's Diesel. We called it a day and I'm now sitting in our cozy little camper at the Heart Of Oklahoma expo RV park. I think I finally understand the appeal of the RV lifestyle, where ever you find yourself, you're right at home!
Couple more days and I'm hoping to sit down to a beer with our own majorvices.
supposed to be back to work Tuesday, not sure that's going to happen but we will see. I figure Wednesday or Thursday is feasible though.
