Christopher Burgess of Castle Rock, CO, a member of the Rock Hoppers Brew Club, won a gold medal in Category 17: Speciality IPA in the 2024 National Homebrew Competition Final Round. Burgess’ Brut IPA earned gold out of 77 entries.

Burgess shares the following about Brutal Fall Off a Bike: “The pH information is important for a beer like this. The large amount of dry hops pushes up the pH, so you need to start pretty low for the beer to end at a good pH level.”
